This role specializes in the "hands-on" management and optimization of the production environment. You will be instrumental in ensuring processes support the highest standards of precision and efficiency in the manufacturing of critical engine components. These processes include grinding, polishing, turning, honing, drilling, and milling, and involve materials such as Compacted Graphite Iron (CGI), Forged Steel, and Aluminum. This position is a salary grade 6 and ranges from $72,480-$121,440. This position is a salary grade 7 and ranges from $84,480-$141,360. In the United States, if you need a reasonable accommodation for the online application process due to a disability, please call 1-888-336-0660.#LI-Onsite #LI-BS2What you'll do...Provide daily engineering support on the shop floor (60-70% of time) to resolve production, quality, and maintenance challenges.Identify and lead small-scale improvement projects focused on reducing downtime and improving Quality Metrics.Utilize AutoCAD and 3D Modeling software to design, modify, and manage technical drawings and process layouts.Leverage 3D printing capabilities for rapid prototyping, specialized tooling aids, and shop floor solutions.Collaborate with the Maintenance team to troubleshoot equipment failures and implement technical solutions to prevent recurrence.Monitor and analyze process capability to identify and eliminate waste or quality deviations.Update and maintain process documentation, including OIS (Operation Instruction Sheets) and PFMEAs.Lead root-cause analysis for quality concerns and implement corrective actions on the line.Work with Tooling Engineers to ensure process changes are optimized for tool life and performance.Support the implementation of Lean Manufacturing principles across the machining department.Full timePosting Date: 2026-06-24
